Gildas Prado
Lorient native, Gildas Prado starts his musical studies there, before being admitted in the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique of Paris, where he unanimously wins, in 1996, a first oboe prize. He continues his perfecting studies in there, taught by Jacques Tys and Maurice Bourgue.
In 1998, he is Oboe Soloist of the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, directed by Claudio Abbado. In 2000, he enters the Bâle Symphonic Orchester, until 2002, when he joins the Paris Orchester as an English Horn Soloist.
Gildas Prado participates in numerous chamber music festivals and also plays in formations such as the Budapest Festival Orchestra, directed by Iván Fischer, Révolutionnaire et Romantique direct by John Eliot Gardiner, Les Dissonances next to David Grimal, the World Orchestra for Peace directed by Valery Gergiev, or the Mito Chamber Orchestra directed by Seiji Ozawa.
Gildas Prado has been trusting Rigoutat since 1985, and participating in the continual improvement of our English horns day after day, as an endorser, since 2007.
